The Fliegerquellen are a source area in the Egge , a low mountain range of the Wiehengebirge . They are located in the area of ​​the municipality of Bad Essen in Lower Saxony , just under a kilometer northwest of the village of Büscherheide at an altitude of 162 meters above sea level. NN. The state border with North Rhine-Westphalia runs one kilometer east of the springs. The Fliegerquellen gave its name to the “Fliegerquellenhütte” and the “Fliegerquellen” hiking car park located one kilometer south of the Büscherheide-Barkhausen connecting road through the valley of the Glanebach. The summit of the 211-meter-high Schwarzen Brink is also around a kilometer to the north . The E11 long-distance hiking trail, the Wittekindsweg , leads directly past the springs. The 5.8-kilometer circular hiking trail “Um die Fliegerquellen” runs past the Fliegerquellen.
