The Black Brink is 213  m above sea level. NHN to a neighboring elevation ( 220.2  m ) is the second highest elevation of the harrow , a Nebenhöhenzug of Wiehengebirge . It is located near Büscherheide in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony .

The Schwarze Brink rises in the nature and geopark TERRA.vita in the western part of the Egge ridge in Lower Saxony. Its summit is 1.6 km north-north-west of Büscherheide, 2 km east-north-east of Barkhausen , 2 km south-south-east of Lintorf and 2.2 km south-south-west of Dahlinghausen , four districts of Bad Essen in Lower Saxony , and 3.7 km south-west of the core town of North Rhine-Westphalia City of Preußisch Oldendorf and 2.4 km northwest of the Prussian Oldendorf district of Eininghausen .

Natural allocation

The Schwarze Brink belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Lower Weserbergland (No. 53) in the main unit Eastern Wiehengebirge (532) and in this to the subunit Oldendorfer Berge (532.1), which connects to the subunit Bad Essener Heights (532.0) to the north .

Altitude

A 211  m high point can be found on topographic maps near the summit of the wooded Schwarzen Brink . Sometimes the elevation is mistakenly called the highest elevation of the Egge ridge. But this is a  nameless elevation ( : 220.2  m ) located 1.1 km southeast of this summit, about 520 m north-northwest of the core of the Bad Essen district of Büscherheide and about 360 m west of the district road 79, which runs in sections on the border with Westphalia ; it is the highest point in the municipality of Bad Essen, is on the Langer Kamp parcel , is partly forested and partly used for agriculture.

Others

Parts of the landscape protection area Wiehengebirge and Northern Osnabrücker Hügelland ( CDDA no. 390425; designated 2009; 288.348 km²) are located on the entire Schwarzen Brink . About 340 m north of the summit is the Hartmannhütte at about 197  m above sea level and the Potthoff cross near it .
