Flitsch (heraldry)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Coat of arms of Furna GR with golden Flitsch

With Flitsch the feathered part of an arrow or pin is designated in the area bow and arrow. The flight feathers for flight stability are a coat of arms figure in heraldry and are rarely (only the rear part of the projectile) shown without the rest of an arrow in the coat of arms .

In the description of the coat of arms , this part of the arrow must be mentioned separately if the tinging in the shield is different. Emblazoned is the technical term of heraldry: the arrow is red beflitscht (Example).

The Flitsch is also replaced by other smaller figures such as a heart , star or the like or covered in such a way that it is not clear and can only clarify the description of the coat of arms.
