Florian Hartlieb (born December 22, 1982 in Unna ) is a German composer and media artist. He lives and works in Bochum , Germany.

biography

Florian Hartlieb studied electronic composition with Thomas Neuhaus and Roman Pfeifer at the ICEM of the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and with Karlheinz Essl at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
His pieces are regularly presented at internationally renowned festivals and conferences, such as the Csound Conference (Berklee, 2013), the Linux Audio Conference (Stanford University, 2012), the International Computer Music Conference (Huddersfield, 2011), Tsonami (Buenos Aires, 2011), EMU Festival (Rome, 2010), Musicacoustica Beijing (Beijing, 2008) and many more.
In 2009 his work "In the front room of the back room" was published by the Canadian label CeC on the Cache 2009 sampler, in 2013 his digital multi-channel album Quadrosonic was released.
In addition to his artistic work, Hartlieb is a lecturer in sound synthesis, sampling, digital audio technology and music theory.
