history
On August 22, 2007, a private plane, Cessna registration number: YV1562, crashed on approach shortly before the airfield. Two crew members were killed in this accident. Since the airfield is located in the middle of the residential area of the city, due to this and previous incidents by the then mayor of Anaco, Jacinto Romero Luna, the airfield was closed. It is now open again.
