The Anaco Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional de Anaco) is an airfield of the Venezuelan city of Anaco . The airfield is mainly used by small aircraft that fly oil industry employees to the oil or gas fields in the east of the country.

history

On August 22, 2007, a private plane, Cessna registration number: YV1562, crashed on approach shortly before the airfield. Two crew members were killed in this accident. Since the airfield is located in the middle of the residential area of ​​the city, due to this and previous incidents by the then mayor of Anaco, Jacinto Romero Luna, the airfield was closed. It is now open again.
