The Hateruma Airport ( Japanese 波 照 間 空港 , Hateruma-Kūkō ) is a small commercial airport on the island of Hateruma in Japan , Okinawa Prefecture . The airport is located about 2 kilometers east of the homonymous village of Hateruma on the east coast of the island. From here there are currently (2009) only domestic connections. Hateruma Airport is a 3rd class airport according to Japanese law .
