The Matsumoto Airport ( Jap. 松本空港 , Matsumoto Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Matsumoto in Japan , Nagano Prefecture . The airport is about 9 kilometers southwest of Matsumoto's city center. From here there are currently (2009) only domestic connections. Matsumoto Airport is a 3rd class airport under Japanese law .

The airport is also known under the name Shinshū -Matsumoto kūkō ( 信 州 ま つ も と 空港 , English Shinshu-Matsumoto Airport ).
