The Miyako Airport ( Jap. 宮古空港 , Miyako-Kuko ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Miyakojima on the island of Miyako in Japan , Okinawa Prefecture . The airport is about four kilometers northwest of Miyakojima city center. From here there are currently (2009) only domestic connections. Miyako Airport is a 3rd class airport under Japanese law .
