The Monbetsu Airport ( Japanese 紋 別 空港 , Mombetsu-Kūkō ) is a small commercial airport in the city of Mombetsu in Japan , Hokkaidō Prefecture . The airport is located about 8 kilometers southeast of Mombetsu city center on the north coast of Hokkaido. From here there are currently (2009) only domestic connections. Monbetsu Airport is a 3rd class airport under Japanese law .
The airport is also known regionally as Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport .
