The airport al-Arish ( in Arabic مطار العريش الدولي, DMG maṭār al-ʿArīš ad-duwalī ) is an airport near al-Arish in Egypt . The airport is the home airport of Palestinian Airlines and the closest airport to the Gaza Strip . Palestinian Airlines moved here after Yasser Arafat Airport was destroyed by Israeli forces.
In 2011, 5,991 passengers used the airport, which corresponds to a decrease of 45.4% compared to the previous year.

Incidents
On April 21, 1964, part of the taxiway collapsed under a Vickers Viscount 754D from Middle East Airlines (OD-ACX) while taxiing at El Arisch Airport . The damage to the hull, propellers and engines was irreparable. People were not harmed.
