The Cremona airport ( it .: Aeroporto di Cremona-Migliaro ) is located in the northern Italian region of Lombardy , around 4 km north-northwest of the provincial capital Cremona in the village of Migliaro.
Infrastructure and use
The airfield has a 650 meter long and 30 meter wide asphalt runway with the orientation 11/29. An asphalt taxiway leads from the landing threshold 29 to an apron in the southeast corner of the airfield site. There is a hangar, smaller handling facilities, a helicopter landing pad and facilities for the local aero clubs. The airfield is primarily used for general aviation . Parachuting is also important .
history
The Aero Club Cremona, founded in 1957, suggested the construction of the airfield. The facility was established in 1964 by the Cremona Provincial Administration and opened for domestic general aviation in 1966. The Aero Club was responsible for building the various handling facilities.
