Falko Mohrs (born July 23, 1984 in Wolfsburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been a member of the German Bundestag since the 2017 federal election. He won the direct mandate in the Helmstedt-Wolfsburg constituency . Mohrs has been a member of the Wolfsburg City Council since 2013.

Life

Falko Mohrs is the son of the politician Klaus Mohrs . In his youth he was a member of the scouts and youth delegate of the UN General Assembly , later he was a member of the board of the European Youth Forum . He was particularly active in volunteering for the boy scouts in Africa.

After completing his training as a shipping clerk and his studies as Diplom-Kaufmann (FH), he worked as a production coordinator in the Touran and Tiguan assembly at Volkswagen .

politics

Through his voluntary work, he found his way into the Wolfsburg City Council, of which he has been a member since 2013. He is currently chairman of the youth welfare committee and a member of the strategy committee and subcommittee on digitization of the city of Wolfsburg.

SPD member of the Bundestag

For the SPD parliamentary group, Mohrs is a full member of the Committee for Economic Affairs and Energy , the Digital Agenda Committee, the Regional Economic Policy and ERP Economic Plans subcommittee and the “Artificial Intelligence” commission .

He is also deputy chairman of the Central Africa parliamentary group.

Within the SPD parliamentary group, Mohrs belongs to the Berlin network .
