The aircraft Kiel GmbH was under the shadow work program established in October 1,933th For the start of aircraft construction, the new company had to design and build a single-seater as a certificate of competence. This resulted in the Fk 166 . In the period that followed, however, the plant refrained from developing in-house and became a component supplier for the rest of the aviation industry. The company was owned by the Sachsenberg works and was later taken over by the Howaldts works and Dornier .
