The river power plant near Tübingen-Hirschau on the Hirschau weir is a run-of-river power plant between Tübingen-Hirschau and Tübingen-Weilheim and uses the water of the Neckar . The power plant is located in front of the much larger Rappenberghalde river power plant . It has a fish ladder on Weilheimer Ufer (Raugerinnebeckenpass).

The two-part flap weir has a residual hydroelectric power plant to which 1.35 m³ / s of water is fed (total width of the weir approx. 36 m, drop height at the weir 4 m).
