Fly on the Wings of Love (German as: Fly on the Wings of Love ) is an English-language song of the Danish group Olsen Brothers in 2000. It is the winning song of the Euro Song Contest 2000 in Stockholm and gave Denmark the second victory 1963 . Fly on the Wings of Love was written by Jørgen Olsen, one of the two brothers.

history

On February 19, 2000, the brothers qualified in the Danish preliminary round with 58 points for participation in the 45th Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden. At that time, the group sang their winning title in Danish as Smuk som et stjerneskud (German for example: Beautiful like a 'shooting star ) within the preliminary round . The song was later translated into English. In the final of the Grand Prix they secured first place with 195 points. Overall, the Olsen Brothers received points from almost all countries. Exceptions were Croatia and Macedonia.
