Track information
Foe is a different version of the song Friend from the album Friend or Foe? . The verses of both versions are very similar, while the refrains are completely different both lyrically and musically. In addition, Foe contains a different solo part and is much shorter than Friend . The song Slow Summer also has a counterpart with Fast Summer on the album. Both have an extended solo in common, which was played on a pedal steel guitar.
Both Foe and Arcese were in the Japanese version of Friend or Foe? included as bonus title.
Artwork
The artwork also corresponds to the album Friend or Foe? . The cover of the EP shows a drawing, mainly in black and white, of a woman with a baby in her arms. The depiction is very similar to the Sistine Madonna by Raphael and evokes associations with Mary and the newly born Jesus . This association is reinforced by the fact that the cover of the album shows a portrait made in the same way, which is strongly reminiscent of well-known depictions of Jesus Christ.
