Fokko Wilhelm Doyen (* 1956 ) is a German pilot.

Career

Doyen completed his pilot training. Since you can become a captain on cargo planes one to two years earlier than on passenger planes and fly long-haul flights straight away, he decided to become a cargo pilot. He has worked for the cargo airline Lufthansa Cargo since 1998 and is currently the company's MD-11 fleet manager.

Cargo Human Care

From 1999 he developed the idea of ​​an aid organization. For humanitarian aid, he first brought individual suitcases with all of the children's clothing to Nairobi (Kenya) - supported by students from the Pestalozzi School in his home town of Idstein . As a result of this initiative, he founded the Cargo Human Care e. V. , of which he has been the first chairman ever since. With the proceeds from a fundraising campaign that the association carried out with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in 2007, the orphanage Mothers' Mercy Home , which is home to the Cargo Human Care Medical Center, was built in the slums of Nairobi in cooperation with the Anglican Church of the Mount Kenya South diocese connected. The orphanage accommodates 99 children between the ages of six and 17, and the medical center treats up to 2,000 patients a month. Spread over the year, Cargo Human Care sends 30 German doctors to Nairobi, who do weekly free service there.
