Foreign Exchange Office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Foreign eXchange Office ( FXO ) is a technical term from the field of telecommunications and describes all devices that are connected to a telephone system and behave like end devices there , e.g. telephones , fax machines or modems . An FXO device must always be connected to an FXS device. If, for example, a telephone is to be connected to a PC, this requires an FXS interface card.
