Complementary Medicine Research , until the end of 2016 researching complementary medicine , until 2005: researching complementary medicine and classical naturopathy , English title: Research in Complementary Medicine , is an internationally oriented medical journal. It has been published by S. Karger Verlag for medicine and natural sciences since 1994. The main focus is on topics from the field of complementary medicine . The aim is to be the link between the controversially discussed approaches of conventional and complementary medicine. A peer review process is a prerequisite for the publication of manuscripts .

Complementary Medicine Research was the first peer-reviewed journal in Europe to focus on research in complementary and integrative medicine. The trade journal appears 6 times a year with a circulation of around 4,000 copies. The post of chief editor clothed Harald Walach . Articles in German and English appear.

Target groups

Complementary Medicine Research is aimed at general practitioners and clinicians as well as scientists who deal with the fields of naturopathy , homeopathy , traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and acupuncture . Doctors for hygiene and environmental medicine , physical therapy and balneology should also be addressed.
