research - The magazine of the German Research Foundation is a magazine of the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the information of the public. The large, state-funded German research funding organization DFG has published it four times a year since 2003.

The editorial office of the magazine is based in Bonn , the magazine is published by Wiley-VCH Verlag and is printed by the Bonn university book printer with a circulation of 54,000 copies (2012). An English-language edition of the magazine appears under the title german research - Magazine of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft .

In the leading article , members of the board of directors or presidium comment on current issues of research policy , in particular the research policy of the DFG itself.

In the main part of the magazine, scientists provide information about selected ongoing and completed projects that have been funded by the DFG.

In the third section of the issue, the DFG reports on its funding activities.
