Fort Frances is a small town in northwestern Ontario in Canada with about 7,700 inhabitants. It lies in the Rainy River District on the border with the United States and is the Rainy River from across the border in the US state of Minnesota situated place Falls International separately. The two places are connected by the Fort Frances – International Falls International Bridge .
Not far away is the Lake of the Woods , into which the Rainy River flows and which is of great interest to anglers especially from the USA.
