Fort Pezeries , also Pleinmont Battery , is a coastal fort on the Pleinmont Peninsula on the western tip of the Channel Island of Guernsey , west of the village of Torteval .
There has been a fortress on this site since 1680. In the 18th century the gun platform was expanded and steps for musketeers were added. A magazine was later built and the fort's parapet was reinforced.
In 1842 Fort Pezeries fell into disrepair. Today, however, there are three 18 pounder cannons there again.
