Progress of Physics is a monthly peer-reviewed physics journal published today as Progress of Physics by Wiley / VCH.

It appeared in the GDR since 1953 and published mainly overview articles back then. Before the fall of the Berlin Wall , it was published by the Physical Society of the GDR and published by Akademie Verlag , Berlin.

She publishes theoretical and experimental work on the basic building blocks of matter and their interaction, with mostly review articles being published. For example, articles on elementary particle physics, quantum field theory, classical field theory, gravitation, cosmology, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, nuclear physics, laser physics, plasma physics and nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory are published.

The ISSN is 0015-8208.

From 1845 to 1918 there was also the journal of the same name Progress of Physics , published by the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin and later the German Physical Society .
