Juarez Sousa da Silva (born June 30, 1961 in Cabeceiras do Piauí , Piauí , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Parnaíba .

Life

Juarez Sousa da Silva received on 19 March 1994, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 27, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Oeiras . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Lorenzo Baldisseri , donated him episcopal ordination on May 17 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Floriano , Augusto Alves da Rocha , and the Bishop of Campo Maior , Edward Zielski .

Pope Francis appointed him coadjutor bishop of Parnaíba on January 6, 2016 . With the resignation of Alfredo Schäffler on August 24, 2016, he succeeded him as Bishop of Parnaíba.
