EFKE KB21 black and white film

Fotokemika Efke is a brand name of the film manufacturer Fotokemika from Samobor ( Croatia ).

Under the name Efke , the only low- sensitivity and panchromatically sensitized black and white negative films are offered as 35mm and roll films that are available on the German market ( Efke KB-25 and Efke R-25 ; resolution: 115 lines per millimeter; film sensitivity 20 ASA , ISO 20/14 ° GOST 18). These films are the last still available finest grain films made using single-layer technology ; they have a high silver content and enable a comparatively excellent reproduction of gray values ; Thanks to the single-layer technology, the films have almost no Schwarzschild effect .

Fotokemika is also the only manufacturer that still produces type 127 roll films for the smaller medium format 4 × 65, 3 × 4 and 4 × 4, which was used by many box cameras until the 1960s , for example .

All Efke films are made according to old recipes from Adox-Fotowerke .
