Photo media professional

Photo media specialist has been a state-recognized training occupation in Germany since 2008 .

The photo media specialist works primarily in the photo trade. In contrast to the retail salesman, the photo media specialist should learn special product knowledge in the field of digital photo technology , in image processing and in digitizing recordings.

The first year of the three-year training corresponds to the job description of the retail salesman. Specialization does not take place until the next two years.

When the job description was introduced, vocational school lessons were first offered at the Photo + Medien state vocational school in Kiel , but lessons have now also taken place at other schools.
