Fox Animation Studios

Fox Animation Studios was an American animation company based in Phoenix , Arizona . The company was part of 20th Century Fox Animation .

After the financially unsuccessful release of the Sullivan Bluth Studios- produced film Däumeline in 1994, the animators Don Bluth and Gary Goldman were appointed by Bill Mechanic , the then chairman of 20th Century Fox , as the creative heads of the animation studio. Mechanic and John Matoian, President of Fox Family Films , also brought in Stephen Brain, Executive Vice President at Silver Pictures , as General Manager to oversee the studio's start-up and operations. The studio closed in 2000 after the financial failure of their third and final film, Titan AE .
