The Franconian Music Days Alzenau are the oldest music festival in the Rhine-Main region and one of the most traditional festivals for young artists in Germany.

Venues

Historic venues such as Alzenau Castle , the historic Hofgut with its wine tradition and the Kälberau pilgrimage church offer a special ambience for the diverse music and literature program from classical to jazz.

Every autumn, the “Festival of the Young” presents international shooting stars from classical and jazz in recital and symphony concerts in its series of Rising Stars, in particular winners of major international competitions such as the Tchaikovsky and Wieniawski competitions or the ARD International Music Competition .

The Music Campus Frankfurt RheinMain is a permanent guest, and under the aegis of renowned soloists it brings together the young elite from all over the world for exquisite chamber music projects.

Another focus is vocal music, which has regularly brought top international ensembles such as The King's Singers , Singer Pur , the Bavarian Radio Choir or Nederlands Kamerkoor to the Franconian Music Days.

Also known are the musical and culinary events and the guest performances of bullies and trumpets in the multiple award-winning concert series of the Alte Oper Frankfurt for families and children.
