Singer pure
Singer Pur is a German vocal soloist ensemble made up of five men and one woman, which was founded by five former Regensburger Domspatzen . Although the original quintet was already performing in 1990, the five founding members set the official founding date to May 22, 1991. A soprano was added later. The sextet has performed in almost 60 countries and has received the ECHO Klassik music award from the German Phono Academy three times . The repertoire ranges from music from the early Middle Ages to numerous new compositions for the formation. Jazz and pop were the initial repertoire of the vocal ensemble and are still often used as part of concert programs and music productions. In 2019, Singer Pur organized the festival Singer Pur Days in the Adlersberg Monastery near Regensburg for the first time as a successor to the Stimmwerck Days , which were brought into being in 2005 by the now disbanded vocal ensemble Stimmwerck and enjoyed an internationally recognized reputation. The Singer Pur Days should take place annually on a weekend at the beginning of August and be devoted to the care of vocal polyphony of the Renaissance .
