Franconian summer
The Franconian Summer is a series of concerts that take place in odd years (up to 2015 annually) and until 2012 was identical to the early music festival Fränkischer Sommer, Musica Franconia . The festival is supported by the Middle Franconia district .
With the new artistic director Julian Christoph Tölle , the focus on early music was given up for the Franconian Summer . Each season, an important personality from Middle Franconia and their time should be the focus. The Musica Franconia Festival has been held since 2012 as a festival with a focus on early music, independent of the Franconian Summer.
