Frédéric Studer
Frédéric Studer (born May 26, 1926 in Muralto ; † October 22, 2005 in Lausanne ) was a Swiss painter and draftsman and known as the caricaturist " Urs ".
Life
Studer trained as a draftsman and lithographer in Lausanne from 1944 to 1948 . He published his first drawings from 1953 in Paris-Match and L'illustré , later in the Gazette littéraire . As a cartoonist, he has worked for 24 heures and bridge builders , among others .
In addition to his work as a painter and draftsman, Studer became known as a book illustrator and press caricaturist . He also produced a short cartoon in 1971 . His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad.
