The Fröhliche Weinberg was a popular entertainment program that was produced by Südwestrundfunk and SR Fernsehen from 1993 to 2010 and broadcast every three weeks.

The format was an idea by Wolfgang Junglas . At the end of 1993 he developed the concept for the show and discovered Ulrike Neradt for television. From 1993 to 2005 he oversaw 125 episodes of this format. Ulrike Neradt was the presenter of the show from 1994 to 2007 at Johann Lafer's side (1993 to 2006). From June 22, 2007, Marc Marshall , son of pop singer Tony Marshall , presented the show. The show was stopped on tour in May 2010 in favor of the new SWR format .

Frank Golischewski was employed as a permanent pianist and songwriter for the show. Together with the "Weinberg-Band" he accompanied Marshall's live vocals. In the first few years, Heinz Meller appeared in the role of the waiter "Herr Babbelnit".

When the program was recorded, one of the central pillars of the format was the presentation of the host city and region, as well as the music and cooking.
