Frīdrihs Grosvalds

Frīdrihs Grosvalds (born December 13, 1850 in Viļķenes, Wolmar County , Livonia Governorate , † 1924 ) was a Latvian and Russian lawyer .

Life

Grosvalds studied at the Riga High School and studied at the University of Tartu . He then graduated from the University of Saint Petersburg with a law degree in 1875 . He worked in the Ministry of Justice of Russia in Saint Petersburg . After that he was a court clerk in Riga from 1878. From 1901 he worked at the Riga Duma and was a member of the Duma from 1912 to 1918. In 1906 he was a deputy of the State Duma . From 1919 to 1924 he was the Latvian ambassador to Sweden . After that he was a lawyer .
