Architecture and history
The buildings were built in 1904 as workers' homes for the neighboring municipal gas and water works, south of the railway line leading to Quedlinburg station. The design came from the Quedlinburg city planning officer Max Voss . The buildings were built in half-timbered construction in a sober design language. The façades have a lively appearance thanks to the use of different materials such as wood, brick and plaster. In addition, gables are designed as half-timbered ornamental gables. Some of the original windows have been preserved.
The roofs have transverse roofs , dwarf houses and dormers .
The house at Güterstrasse 2 has a total of 6 apartments with a living space of 335.86 m² on a total land area of 1129 m². This building is currently (as of 2013) empty. The property owned by the Quedlinburg housing company is in need of renovation and is to be sold.
