Fram bank

The Fram-Bank is a bank off the Lars-Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Mac-Robertson-Land . It is north of MacKenzie Bay .
Participants of the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931), led by the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson, discovered them between December 27 and 28, 1928 and made their first explorations in February 1931. The crew of the Norvegia continued this on February 4, 1931 as part of the fourth Antarctic voyage of this ship financed by the Norwegian whaling entrepreneur Lars Christensen . Christensen named the bank after the well-known research ship Fram .
