François-Xavier Robadey (born May 6, 1804 in Romont ; † May 3, 1877 ibid) was a Swiss politician and State Councilor of the canton of Friborg .

Life

Robadey, the son of Xavier Robadey, pharmacist, and Marguerite b. Genilloud, was Catholic and married Marie Clément in 1830. Their son Louis was a pharmacist in Romont FR, councilor of this city (1870-1897) and conservative councilor (1876-1897).

In November 1847 Robadey was a member of the provisional government, in which he headed the finance department until March 8, 1848, when the Grand Council elected the seven members of the State Council with a clear radical majority . He was elected sixth with 56 of 62 votes, but rejected the mandate. Appointed senior bailiff for the Glane district , he held this office from 1848 to 1857. From 1848 to 1856 he also sat on the Grand Council.

After retiring from politics in 1857, he devoted himself to his family's pharmacy in Romont in Freiburg.
