François Bloch-Lainé
François Bloch-Lainé (born March 25, 1912 in Paris ; † February 25, 2002 there ) is one of the most important French politicians and administrative experts of the post-war period.
Life
Bloch-Lainé studied law and political science . In 1936 he joined the French financial administration and worked for the Resistance during the occupation . After the war he belonged to the group of reformers who fundamentally modernized the French economy and established state economic planning. From 1947 he was head of the Direction générale du Trésor et de la Politique économique and was instrumental in turning away from the still during the Third Republic operated austerity at. In 1967, under Georges Pompidou , he became head of Crédit Lyonnais , the second largest French bank at the time.
