Françoise Labrique

Françoise Labrique (born November 18, 1949 in Schaerbeek ) is a Belgian Egyptologist .

Career

After graduating as Dr. phil. in Brussels in 1991 she was professor at the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon from 1998 to 2005 and in Cologne from 2005 to 2015. The dissertation was awarded the Prix ​​de la Fondation Michela Schiff Giorgini ( Lausanne ) and the Prix ​​de la Fondation Universitaire (Brussels) in 1992 .

Her research interests are Egyptian religion and literature, Greek religion and literature, epigraphic work, Ptolemaic studies, questions about the Interpretatio graeca et aegyptiaca and iconographic analysis in the late sources (temples and tombs).
