France Galop

France Galop is a French organization that organizes horse races (flat races such as obstacle races). It was created on May 3, 1995 through the merger of the three organizations Société d'Encouragement et des Steeple-Chases de France, Société de Sport de France and Société Sportive d'Encouragement . It acts as the parent organization of the racetracks and promotes the breeding of horse racing horses in France.

The organization, which is subordinate to the French Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of the Interior, operates six racetracks in Saint-Cloud , Maisons-Laffitte , Deauville , Chantilly , Paris - Longchamp (all flat races) and the Auteuil track especially for hunting and hurdling races, in the immediate vicinity Neighborhood of Longchamp also in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris.

The major French training centers are in Chantilly (2636 horses on 1900 hectares), Maisons-Laffitte (810 horses on 120 hectares) and Deauville (310 horses).
