Francesca Di Giovanni

Francesca Di Giovanni (born March 24, 1953 in Palermo , Italy ) is an Italian lawyer and curia official in the State Secretariat of the Holy See .

Life

Francesca Di Giovanni studied law and trained as a notary . She then worked in the administration of the international center of the Focolare Movement . On September 15, 1993, she entered the service of the State Secretariat of the Holy See, where she worked in the field of multilateral relations. Her field of activity included refugee and migration issues as well as topics in the areas of international human rights, communication, private law, the status of women, as well as copyright issues and tourism.

On January 15, 2020, Pope Francis appointed her as undersecretary for multilateral relations within the section for relations with the states of the Vatican State Secretariat .
