Francesco Corradini (philologist)
Francesco Corradini (born January 31, 1820 in Thiene , † 1888 in Padua ) was an Italian classical philologist and Roman Catholic clergyman .
Corradini attended the seminary in Padua , was ordained a priest in 1844 and worked for thirty years as a professor of Latin and ancient Greek at the University of Padua . He oversaw an expanded new edition of Egidio Forcellini's Lexicon totius latinitatis , which was completed by Giuseppe Perin (1898), and in 1874 published an annotated edition of Francesco Petrarca's epic Africa .
