Francesco Di Stefano

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Francesco Di Stefano (* 1953 in Avezzano ) is an Italian media entrepreneur. He is the founder of Europa 7 and the owner of Tvr Voxson and Libera TV .

Di Stefano led a long-standing dispute over the TV frequencies for his station Europa 7. In 1999 he won the corresponding tender. This transmitter with a full program should until then by Mediaset transmitters Rete 4 accept used frequency, but the ministry failed (without a legal basis) approval. The case concerned all instances of the Italian judiciary and ultimately led to a reprimand from the EU Commission to Italy.

In June 2012, the Italian state was obliged to pay Europa 7 compensation of 10 million euros.
