Francesco Morone: Samson and Dalila

Francesco Morone (* between 1470 and 1472 in Verona ; † May 16, 1529 there ) was an Italian painter .

life and work

Francesco Morone was a student of his father Domenico . More than his father, Francesco succumbed to the influence of Lombard painting; sometimes he emulated Carpaccio and Mantegna .

He was valued for his greater expressiveness and valued higher than his father for a long time.

One completely forgets some verifiable masterpieces by Francesco Morone, which are characterized by cheerfulness, balance and successful coloring, and so denied him the place that he deserved in the art of his time.
