Francesco Schiavone

Francesco Schiavone (born January 6, 1953 in Casal di Principe ) is a high-ranking Italian mafioso and member of the Camorra .

Francesco Schiavone, known in Mafia circles as Sandokan and Cicciariello , is considered to be the head of the Casalesi clan , one of the strongest clans within the Camorra, which specializes primarily in drug trafficking . Schiavone, the son of a small farmer, decided to join the mafia at a young age to escape poverty. In 1972, at the age of 18, he was arrested for the first time. He was involved in various mafia wars and blood feuds and eventually became one of the most influential clan bosses. The fortune of the family of Francesco Schiavone from his Mafia activities is estimated at almost 800 million USD, he tried to launder the money mainly through real estate deals .

In June 2008, Francesco Schiavone was finally sentenced to life imprisonment after several prison terms and court hearings .
