Francesco Tizza

Francesco Tizza (born February 24, 1981 in Seregno ) is a former Italian cyclist .

In 2006, Francesco Tizza won the two Italian one-day races Alpe di Noveis and Giro della Valsesia . In 2007 he joined the Swiss Professional Continental Team OTC Doors-Lauretana and rode with UCI cycling teams until the 2010 season . In his second year there, he finished second in the Tour du Jura . In 2010 he finished eighth in the Giro della Provincia di Reggio Calabria .

In the course of the doping investigation by the Public Prosecutor of Padua at the end of 2014, he was suspected of having been a customer of the controversial sports medicine specialist Michele Ferrari .
