Francesco Valentini

Francesco Valentini (born September 27, 1789 in Rome , † March 15, 1862 in Berlin ) was an Italian language teacher, Italianist and lexicographer who worked in Germany.

Valentini had a doctorate and was royal Prussian professor of Italian language and literature in Berlin (1836). From 1831 to 1836 he published an important Italian-German dictionary in four volumes in the Johann Ambrosius Barth Verlag in Leipzig .
