Francis B. Crocker

Francis Bacon Crocker ( 1861 - 1921 ) was an American electrical engineer.

He studied at the School of Mines of Columbia University until 1882 and received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering.

In 1883 he founded the Curtis & Crocker company with Charles G. Curtis to build electric motors.

In 1888 he founded the company Crocker & Wheeler with Schuyler S. Wheeler .

He was committed to the standardization of electrical systems and equipment.

In 1920 he helped Peter Cooper-Hewitt with his helicopter.
