Guarana Jesus is a soft drink , which by a bottler of Coca-Cola in Sao Luis , capital of the Brazilian state of Maranhão , is produced.

The drink is popular in the region and is believed to have overtaken Coca-Cola. It is made from extracts of the guarana plant, which contains caffeine (sometimes called "guaranine"), as well as theophylline and theobromine . The drink is named after the pharmacist Jesus Norberto Gomes , who composed the drink in 1920. The drink has a pink color, a cinnamon aroma and a very sweet taste and is marketed with the slogan “The pink dream”. The drink has been marketed as a brand of the Coca-Cola Company since 2006 .
