Soft drink
As soft drinks ( English soft drink , eingedeutscht soft drink , as opposed to alcoholic hard drinks ) that produces food industry , various cold drinks , which usually carbonated and are sweet and sour flavored.
According to both the German Food Book and the Austrian Food Book, these are water- based drinks with flavoring ingredients. They can also contain carbon dioxide , minerals , vitamins , sugar , fruit concentrate , flavors , sweeteners and other ingredients.
Germany
According to the guidelines for soft drinks of the German Food Book, soft drinks include :
- Fruit juice drinks ,
- Fruit spritzers ,
- Lemonades and
- Shower .
Caffeinated soft drinks , which also include energy drinks , may contain a maximum of 32 mg caffeine per 100 ml in ready-to-eat foods (Appendix 8 [to §§ 4 and 5] Fruit Juice and Soft Drinks Ordinance ).
Correlation with behavioral problems
In a study with 2929 US five-year-olds, the daily consumption of several carbonated soft drinks is associated with behavioral problems ( aggressiveness , attention deficit ); However, this study cannot show a causal relationship.
