Francis Medina (born July 28, 1996 ) is a Filipino hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Francis Medina gained his first international experience at the Asian Championships 2017 in Bhubaneswar , where he was eliminated with 53.34 s in the first round, as well as at the subsequent Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with 51.48 s. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the Asian Games in Jakarta , in which he was eliminated with 51.68 s. At the 2019 Asian Championships in Doha , he was eliminated with 52.49 s in the lead and finished sixth in the Philippine 4 x 100 meter relay in 40.10 s. At the beginning of December he reached fourth place in the hurdles at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 51.68 s and won the bronze medal behind the teams from Thailand and Malaysia in 40.04 s with the relay.
